Using a core drill along with one of these core drill bits is both the fastest and easiest way to core AAC blocks on the jobsite. Since the bit only has to make a perimeter cut there is much less material to be removed than if grinding out the entire hole. The teeth will last indefinitely in soft AAC.
The standard size is 3 ½”. They are available in various diameters and lengths. We have bits in stock that will core a 24” block.
